Actually, oatmeal in and of itself has a decent 6 g protein and 2.5 g fat per 1/2 cup (uncooked). I think that works out to be maybe 3/4 c. of granola. So,

Here is the recipe we like. 10 cups old fashioned oats 1/2 cup wheat germ (we don't have any, so I don't use it) 1/2 cup milled flax seeds 1/2 lb unsweetened

It's dry. It's a less processed form of cane sugar, before they take out all the nutrients. The granules are bigger than regular sugar too. Not sure about

Sucanat is a new one on me. Basically it needs to have a lower glycemic index than sugar to keep my already high energy kiddos from bouncing off the ceilings
